Latte macchiato

Latte macchiato is a very popular hot beverage. Its ingredients include espresso and milk. Basically, latte macchiatio is like milk coffee, but more milk. In Italy the coffee was originally made for children so they also drank “coffee” as adults, so the caffeine content in latte macchiato was very small. Gradually adults also love this drink.

Often people drink latte macchiato with a tall, thick glass. A proper cup of latte macchiato must consist of three clear distinctions (see figure), which are poured in the order in turn and not mixed together. Milk is poured into the first glass, making it the lowest white. Then the foam is the highest floor. Finally, they poured espresso through the foam layer. Because the milk is high in fat, it has a higher concentration of espresso than coffee, so that the coffee layer emerges on the milk layer forming the middle layer. Milk fatty milk is longer than the foam of poor fat milk. Often sprinkle on a layer of cocoa powder milk, chocolate or spices (such as cinnamon) to decorate.

Latte machiato is served with straws and biscuits.
